“How have you been lately? King mentioned that you weren’t feeling well. Are you feeling better now? I wanted to visit you but was swamped with work then, so I couldn’t make it…” Catherine inquired, releasing Olivia and regarding her with a caring gaze.
“I’m back to my usual self, full of energy,” Olivia reassured with a smile.
Observing Olivia’s well–being, Catherine proposed, “I’ll pay a visit to my godson later.”
“He’ll be delighted,” Olivia remarked.
As they conversed, King approached with concern, asking, “Are you sure you’re alright?”
“Absolutely, I’m in top shape. I can handle work without any issues,” Olivia asserted confidently.
Upon King’s return to the country, he brought along a skilled team from headquarters to assist with the company’s operations. Despite their small numbers, the team was highly efficient and capable of handling tasks independently.
The increase in staff enhanced productivity. The company made swift progress in various areas, from departmental divisions to staff allocations and human resources.
Within a week, the new company had been established, all necessary documents were obtained, new employees were hired, and operations ran smoothly.
Olivia, a technical staff member and part of the management team, found herself utterly exhausted after a hectic week primarily spent interviewing new hires.
As evening approached, the weariness settled in, rendering Olivia drained and disinclined to engage in conversation. She leaned back in her chair, gently rubbing her forehead, clearly displaying her fatigue.
At that moment, King entered the room and inquired, “Have you finished your tasks?”
“I just need to organize some documents; it’s almost done. What’s up?” Olivia responded, mustering her
energy.
King nodded, “Lucas called and mentioned a dinner tonight. I accepted the invitation. Will you…company me?”
Raising an eyebrow, Olivia asked, “Is it mandatory?”
News of the Horizon Ventures CEO’s arrival in the northern city had circulated a few days prior, sparking interest and inquiries within the business community.
Previously preoccupied, King now had the time to attend such gatherings.
As the general manager of Horizon Ventures, Olivia knew she had to accompany him.
That evening, they arrived punctually at the Luxuria Enclave at eight o’clock.
Lucas waited for them downstairs five minutes early.

He paused for effect before continuing, “The Carter family also clinched a portion of this project with a larger stake than the Martinez family.”
