Chapter 55 We Won’t Meet Him
Lucas staggered to his feet, almost losing his balance.
“Don’t listen to that nonsense! I am very virtuous, alright! I only keep changing companions because I have a wide circle of friends, and keeping trouble away is much easier! I have never provoked them!”
Olivia could not help but smile.
She was dazzling tonight.

In the crowd, Emma saw this scene. Her eyes were cold and terrifying.

Emma smiled and said he would come.

He was aware of the bad blood between Olivia and the Carter family.
He also understood that Olivia did not want to see Nathan.
Olivia nodded and changed the topic, “Who cares about him? It has nothing to do with me, even if he comes. I’m just here for what I need to do!”
“You’re right. You are not a part of the family anymore! Shall we go then? I’ll take you to meet tonight’s host.”
“Okay!”
Olivia agreed, and the two of them greeted the chairman of the Sphaera Group.
The chairman of the Sphaera Group was Eric Bovril, who had business dealings with the Martinez family. He was relatively friendly toward Lucas.
“Lucas, are you the only one here? Is your father coming?”
Lucas smiled. “He’s not here, Mr. Bovril. My dad promised to accompany my mom to a concert a few days ago. My mum wears the pants in the relationship, so he sent me over tonight! He even asked me to apologize and said he would treat you to dinner another day.”
“Alright then.”
