Chapter 183 Take Some Effort
The expressions of both Olivia and Benjamin darkened considerably when they heard that.
“What does that even mean? How could a normal person possibly plant a mole?” Benjamin couldn’t believe such a thing could happen.
It’s Mystical Alcazar we’re talking about! Who could possibly be capable of planting informants in our ranks?
“Why didn’t Master mention this to me yesterday?”
Olivia also found it a bit odd. If there really had been a mole, Joker would have told her directly yesterday.
King Spades took a sip of his coffee before he began to explain, “It wasn’t confirmed last night, I only got the information this morning. You were on the flight, so you didn’t receive the message.”
After some thought, Olivia asked, “Did you bring a laptop over?”
This matter left her feeling uneasy, so she had to make sense of everything herself.
King Spades was well–prepared, replying, “Yes.”
He went downstairs to fetch his laptop from the car.
Opening up his laptop, King Spades swiveled the screen toward Olivia, “This is the 3D model of the Golden Charm Club.”
Olivia studied the architectural model on the screen, her expression serious and focused.
“This is only the exact scale model of the structure on the ground, and this part here,” he said, pointing to the roof of the model, “is where I had previously infiltrated.”
Olivia glanced at him. “Did you find anything?”
“This is Lionel’s office.” King Spades gently tapped on the computer screen, revealing a regretful expression. “That’s all I can investigate. I can’t dig anything deeper.”
“Ms. Olivia, if we want to find out more, we’ll have to hack into Lionel’s computer,” he proposed, looking at Olivia.
Olivia raised her hand to cradle her chin, studying the architectural model with utmost seriousness.
Benjamin and King Spades watched her, afraid to make a sound for fear of disturbing her.
After a while, Olivia straightened up, her slender fingers rapidly tapping on the keyboard.
Suddenly, a series of codes appeared on the screen.
Her fingers moved swiftly, her pretty face was calm, and her gaze was focused and steadfast.
King Spades was in awe as he watched, silently marveling at Olivia’s prowess. As expected of Joker’s successor! She’s so capable! I’ll probably never reach her level of prowess in my lifetime.
Before long, Olivia realized that this club was indeed no ordinary place. Its system proved to be quite challenging to break into.
Once triggered, they would be intercepted and inevitably discovered by the other party.
By then, if the other party initiated a counter–tracking, they wouldn’t be able to carry on with their operation.
Olivia clenched her fists tightly, worried that an accidental brush against the keyboard would set off the system alarm.
She couldn’t help smiling. Such a system had even managed to pose a challenge to an expert like her, which clearly indicated that the person who designed this system was no amateur.
Suddenly, she grew excited.
This was a contest between experts.
Benjamin also noticed that the system was difficult to break through and asked, “Ms. Olivia, do you have a method to crack it?”
“I’ll give it a shot.” Olivia’s eyes slightly narrowed. “But it will take some effort.”
Benjamin understood that she needed a quiet space to work her magic; somewhere she wouldn’t be disturbed.
And so, he rose and descended the stairs to find the owner of the café.
“We want to book the entire place,” Benjamin stated his intentions straightforwardly as soon as he met the
owner.
At this time, there weren’t many people in the cafe, so the owner readily agreed, “Sure, no problem.”
Ensuring she wouldn’t be disturbed, Olivia raised her hand to rub her shoulder to ger ready. A smile curved her red lips as her fingers once again raced across the keyboard.
The atmosphere inexplicably grew tense.
Both King Spades and Benjamin unconsciously held their breaths as they stared at the computer screen.
A few minutes later, a line of red text popped up on the screen.
It read: Invasion successful!
