Nathan paused and asked with a hint of confusion, “What do you mean by that?”
Liam glanced at Olivia, whispering, “I saw the news.”

Upon hearing this, Liam heaved a sigh of relief, a smile breaking across his face. “That’s wonderful! I was worried that Daddy “didn’t like Mommy.”
Olivia choked and looked at her son with an expression that was a mix of amusement and exasperation.

She lowered her gaze, a self–deprecating smile playing on her lips. He must despise me more than anyone else.
“Liam. you must be parched after all that talking, right? Have some water to soothe your throat.” Olivia poured a glass of water and handed it to Liam.
Then, reaching out, she lightly pinched his cheek. Her expression turned serious as she solemnly said, “Remember, one should not speak while eating or sleeping!”
“All right.” Liam obediently picked up his drink and took a sip, not uttering another word.
Nathan glanced at her, catching a glimpse of the self–mockery at the corner of her mouth. His sharp eyebrows furrowed slightly as if he wanted to say something. But just then, the waiter pushed the door open, and he ended up saying nothing.
Nathan helped Liam put on her bib. Flashing a slight smile, he said. “You must be hungry. Let’s eat.”
With that, he helped Liam cut the steak.
Olivia took it all in, observing that Nathan’s gaze had softened somewhat. A small smile curved her lips as she quietly continued eating.
“This tastes so good!”
During the meal, Liam couldn’t stop praising the delicious food, his mouth smeared with oil stains.
Olivia helped him wipe his mouth, teasing him with a chuckle. “You’re such a clumsy eater.”
Nathan silently watched them, his deep black eyes as inscrutable as a deep pool, leaving his emotions, at the moment, unreadable.
Although she was constantly taking care of Liam, Olivia would occasionally still pay attention to the man across from her.
Her brows furrowed immediately when she saw him lift the red wine from the table and take a sip. She couldn’t help but caution, “If your stomach isn’t well, you shouldn’t be drinking.”
Upon hearing this, Nathan raised an eyebrow. A playful smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. “What’s this? Are you concerned about me?”
I really shouldn’t have intervened. I should let him drink all he wants. Whoever is willing to take care of him can do so! Olivia choked a little before letting out a dry laugh. “No, it’s just that I don’t want to play caretaker like last time. I’m too busy!”
