The two fell into a mutual silence. After a while, King’s voice finally broke the quiet. “Olivia, about that project from Carter Group, you don’t have to take it if you don’t want to.” At that point, he paused before continuing, “I don’t want you to put yourself through grievances.”
When King found out that Olivia had taken on Carter Group’s project, he was initially surprised. However, on second thought, he could guess that she agreed to cooperate with Carter Group for the sake of Horizon Ventures‘ future development in the country.
Precisely for that reason, King’s heart ached deeply for Olivia.

The company had just begun operations, and there was an overwhelming number of matters to handle. King felt somewhat guilty at the thought of delegating all those tasks to Olivia.
