I watched a tall man slowly appear in front of the hospital room door. He had a scar on his face, his eyes were full of hostility, and his tone was low.
“Karen, you’ve been so hard to find.”
Karen Lynn is more familiar with this voice than I am; she trembled immediately.
I couldn’t help but laugh at her terrified expression.

No one believed her. The owner’s friend even pinned her down on the table.
