The Flash Marriage English Novel Chapter 39

Chapter 39

The bodyguard took out Ricky’s ID card and handed it to Valerie.

Without hesitation, Valerie handed both their ID cards to the staff.

“We’re here to get married,” she stated.

Her words seemed to hold some sort of power, cutting through the crowd and piercing directly into Terrence’s eardrums.

Terrence snapped back to reality, his cold gaze fixed on the petite figure standing in front of the window.

In an instant, his body acted faster than his mind.

He strode quickly toward Valerie, his steps determined, and grabbed her wrist, pulling her toward the City Hall entrance.

His grip was so tight that Valerie couldn’t break free.

“Terrence, let go of me! Let go of me!” Valerie demanded, her voice sharp with frustration.

The people around them froze, their eyes wide with fear at the terrifying aura radiating from Terrence. No one dared to approach.

The bodyguard, seeing the situation escalate, couldn’t help but ask, “Mr. Murray?”

Ricky raised his hand, signaling for the bodyguard to stand down.

He had never intended to register for marriage with Valerie.

“Sir,” the staff member’s voice broke through the tension, “Your marriage license is issued.”

Ricky was surprised, his mind racing. He hadn’t expected this to happen.

Meanwhile, Terrence had already taken Valerie out of the City Hall. His anger boiled over, and with a look of frustration, he picked her up and shoved her into the Audi.

“Go to the airport!” Terrence ordered, his chest heaving with the weight of his emotions.

He didn’t care that the person in the car wasn’t his own man. It was Ricky’s assistant.

Ricky’s assistant glanced nervously at Terrence through the rearview mirror. The cold, menacing expression on Terrence’s face made him instinctively react.

“Okay,” he muttered, trying to suppress the fear creeping up his spine.

In the backseat, Terrence held Valerie tightly in his arms. She tried multiple times to break free, but his hold was unyielding.

The thought of returning to Houston—the city that had caused her so much pain—gave her the courage to bite down hard on Terrence’s arm.

Terrence’s muscles were like rock, firm and well-toned.

He let out a muffled groan, but Valerie’s teeth were sore from the effort.

Realizing that she was no match for his strength, Valerie stopped struggling, exhaustion creeping in.
