The Flash Marriage English Novel Chapter 37

Chapter 37

Valerie was speechless.

It seemed her reputation as a “simp” had made quite an impact.

“Yes, Mr. Murray. Don’t worry. After we get married, I will never cuckold you!” she said sarcastically.

Ricky was lost for words.

As she finished speaking, a sleek black Audi pulled up in front of the City Hall.

The car door swung open, and Terrence emerged from the back seat, his cold aura making him stand out in the bustling crowd. His handsome features seemed to be carved from stone, and he appeared as though he were detached from the world around him.

Valerie’s face shifted, a mix of shock and disbelief flashing across it.

Terrence’s gaze immediately locked onto Valerie’s. His eyes, cold as steel, bore into her for a moment before he lifted his gaze to check his wristwatch.

Valerie had arrived within an hour. She was sensible, for once.

He knew this was just another one of Valerie’s dramatic stunts.

“Mr. Murray,” Terrence nodded slightly toward Ricky, his tone still icy. “I have some personal matters to attend to. It will take just a few minutes of your time.”

With that, he took long strides toward Valerie, grabbing her wrist firmly. “Wait for me at the hotel,” he said, his voice leaving no room for argument.

Valerie was caught off guard, her mind racing. She couldn’t understand what Terrence was trying to do.

Ricky, standing off to the side, seized the moment to speak up. “Mr. Crawford, do you know my wife?”

Terrence stiffened at the question. After a beat, he slowly turned his head to face Ricky, his gaze settling on the man sitting in a wheelchair. Ricky smiled gracefully, his expression unbothered.

“This is the fiancée I introduced to you yesterday,” Ricky continued smoothly. “Valerie Schwartz. Valerie, this is Terrence Crawford, Mr. Crawford.”

Valerie blinked, surprised at Ricky’s nonchalance. It was clear that he hadn’t been aware of her previous acquaintance with Terrence. But there was nothing else to be confused about now—it was better this way.

Seeing her getting married in front of him seemed to shake Terrence to his core, and Valerie could see the hurt in his eyes.

Terrence seemed to have been struck hard by the realization. After a long pause, he squinted his eyes and then smiled, though it was cold and sharp. “Valerie, what did he say?”

Valerie yanked her wrist from his grip and answered, her tone unwavering, “I didn’t lie to you. I’m indeed getting married to Ricky.”

She paused for a moment before continuing, her voice steady. “Since Ricky broke his legs, Jazlynn felt he was useless and didn’t want Abbigail to marry him. So, I came back, instead of her marrying him.”

Ricky, who had just been called “useless” to his face, couldn’t help but smirk at the situation.

If his feeling was right, the situation was far from over.
