“Ellie!”
Alex reached out to grab Ellie, but missed and almost fell off the chair! He shot a sharp glare at Layton before getting up to chase after her.
Layton casually adjusted his stylish hair as if he wasn’t even there.
“Ellic!”
“Alex, stop moving!”
Alex caught up with Ellie and was about to block her when she grabbed a fork from the table and aimed it at him!
Alex froze, quietly lowering his hand.
Watching Ellie step into the elevator with a cold expression, Alex returned, pinned Layton to the chair, and started punching
him.
“How’s it my fault your mouth got you in trouble?!” Layton kicked him back.
Not far away, the lobby manager stood with several waitstaff, staring at their boss being manhandled. None dared step in.
“Quick, call Mrs. York!”
The lobby manager hurriedly sent someone to find Nalani.

Ellie entered Lacey’s private suite. Lacey was sitting cross–legged on the carpet, surrounded by used tissues, with her makeup completely ruined from crying.
“Ellie, you’re finally here!” Seeing Ellie, Lacey started crying even harder.
Ellie set her bag down and helped Lacey to the couch.
“Lacey, you didn’t spend the night at Sebastian’s place, did you?” Ellie handed her a tissue and asked cautiously.
She had heard from colleagues today that Sebastian, the celebrity, was trending on social media with his rumored girlfriend. Out of curiosity, she checked the news.
Even though the photos were blurry and taken from behind, Ellie instantly recognized the figure beside Sebastian as Lacey. But without a clear face shot, she hadn’t dared to jump to conclusions.
“I didn’t mean to not come home,” Lacey sobbed, clutching Ellie’s hand. “Last night, Sebastian was spotted by reporters at a bar, and he texted me to pick him up.”
“The reporters wouldn’t leave Sebastian alone, chasing us all the way to his house. He told me to go inside to hide, but they camped outside and wouldn’t leave!”
“I couldn’t get away. I had to wait until Sebastian’s manager came this morning to get me out. But now, the reporte saying I’m his girlfriend and that I spent the night at his place! What do I do?”
Ellie listened to the whole story and got the gist of it.
She stared at Lacey for a long moment before finally speaking. “Lacey, even though your marriage to Mark is just a contract and he knows you like Sebastian, you’re still married.”
Chapter 670
She continued. “Those reporters only caught your silhouette, but think about it. If I could recognize you, so could people who know both you and Mark. How is Mark supposed to face everyone? How will he explain this to his family?
“That’s why I don’t know what to do! I’m too scared to go home!” Lacey was completely panicked.
Ellie looked at the distraught Lacey and tried her best to comfort her, helping her calm down. Once Lacey stopped crying, Ellie asked, “Lacey, what do you even like about Sebastian?”
Lacey looked at Ellie with teary eyes and softly replied, “He’s handsome!”
Everyone knew Lacey was a sucker for good looks.
Ellie frowned. “As handsome as he is, is he better–looking than Mark?”
Lacey, though no longer crying, kept sniffling. “Mark’s handsome too, but I’d never try anything with him. I wouldn’t dare.”
