“Why do you keep mentioning my past relationship and two children?” Ellie calmly withdrew her hand and took a step back.
Alex was taken aback by Ellie’s question. Then he got out of bed.
He said, “I mean we’re quite the same. I don’t dismiss you, and you can’t dismiss me, either.
Alex held Ellie’s shoulders and looked down at her.
He asked Ellie seriously, “Give me a straight answer. Will you be with me?”
