Barry said, “Mrs. Warren, Luck is not easy to handle. Let me take it there?
“How difficult can it be? Just put it in the carrier, I can handle a eunuch cat, Nancy asked Barry to put the cat in the per
carrier.
Just as she was leaving, Nancy noticed the mess on the sofa and said, “Who made this mess?
Nancy looked at Barry, who stammered and dared not speak.
Nancy, “I’m asking you.”
Nancy got angry, so Barry had no choice but to say, “It’s Mr. Warren’s.
Nancy put down the cat, walked over to the sofa, and picked up the half–braid bracelet.

son?”
Nancy found a trash can and threw all the stuff into it while cursing. Then she tied up the garbage bag and took it away with
the cat.

When Alex came home from work that night, he found his treasure missing.
Barry could only tell the truth, “Mr. Warren, your stuff was thrown away by Mrs. Warren.”
Alex said, “Thrown away?”
Alex pointed at Barry as he approached. “It took me almost a week to get halfway through! Why didn’t you stop her?”
Barry leaned against the wall with his head in his hands.
The next day was the weekend. Alex got up early, bought breakfast and went to the hospital.
Seeing Oscar sitting on the hospital bed playing with building blocks, Alex put down the breakfast and asked, “Little guy, where’s your mom?”
Oscar glanced at Alex but didn’t speak.
Alex looked around the ward but couldn’t find Ellie. He came to the bedside and asked, “Do you want to have some
breakfast?”
Oscar glanced at Alex again and shook his head in refusal without saying anything.
Alex sat down on the edge of the bed and took the toy from Oscar’s hand. “If you don’t talk to me next time I see you, I will take your mom away, you hear
me?”
“Mom, he said he was gonna take you away,” seeing Ellie come in, Oscar quickly told her on Alex.
Alex was speechless.
Ellie gave Alex a warning glance, took the toy from him, and then returned it to Oscar.
“Mr. Warren, what are you doing here?” Ellie frowned as she looked at Alex.
Alex said, “Well, you are my girlfriend. Why can’t I just drop by to see you?”
Alex said that unashamedly while giving Oscar a provocative glance.
“Don’t talk nonsense in front of the child.” Ellic glanced at Oscar and then pushed Alex out of the ward.
Alex said, “Can’t you just give me a smile or say something nice to me?”
Ellie pushed Alex to the corridor. Alex dragged Ellie to the corner of the fire escape where no one was.
Ellie stretched out her hand and said, “Sure. Where’s the bracelet, then?”
Hearing that, Alex dampened at once.
He took the opportunity to hold Ellie’s hand, pinning her against the handrail of the stairs.
“When I give you the bracelet, we’ll start dating.” Alex suddenly lowered his voice, and he stared at Ellie with unbelievable tenderness.
Ellie said, “Don’t talk nonsense. If you can make it, I will talk to you properly afterward, but I didn’t say I would date you.”
“No, you said it,” Alex insisted.
Ellie lowered her head to avoid Alex’s warm breath and pushed him away. “Didn’t you say you were going to see Orion? Go ahead.”
Alex said, “I miss hugging you in the car that day.”
Alex got excited at once as he recalled the scene of hugging Ellie and kissing her fiercely in the car that day.
He swallowed, lowered his head, and rested his forehead against hers.
He tentatively called Ellie in a low, bewitching voice, “Ellie…”
Ellie’s expression changed because of Alex’s sudden intimacy.
The more Ellie resisted, the more Alex persisted. Neither of them gave up.
“Mom” Ellie suddenly stopped struggling.
Alex looked back and was startled to see Joanna standing not far away, holding a thermos and looking at him. He quickly let go of Ellie and stood up straight.
