Her Hidden Crown English Novel Chapter 30

Chapter 30

Jenson’s expression stiffened. “Suzanne, you…” His gaze was filled with disappointment. He had hoped that Suzanne would change, but to his surprise, she remained the same.

When Seline had called him that day, claiming that Suzanne was impersonating Jane, he hadn’t believed her. But after investigating, he discovered that Alan had indeed suffered an episode that night and reverted to his previous state, wanting to drink blood. The Alvarez family was now desperately seeking medical help for him.

It turned out Suzanne had done such a despicable thing!

What Jenson didn’t know was that the Alvarez family didn’t want their enemies to discover what had happened, and Suzanne didn’t want him interfering. She and the Alvarez family had worked together to leak the information.

Jenson calmed himself, his expression turning cold as he looked at Suzanne. “In that case, don’t contact me again!”

Suzanne snorted decisively and turned to leave.

Jenson frowned, standing still as he watched her retreating figure. He thought Suzanne would feel threatened, but instead…

He clenched his hands into fists before relaxing them, only to tighten them again.

But in the next moment, a sarcastic look flashed in his eyes.

This was nothing more than Suzanne’s way of playing hard to get. In a few days, she would come crawling back.

When had she been any different?

Suzanne returned to the private room and saw Shane patting Marvin’s shoulder while chatting happily. She raised an eyebrow slightly. It seemed the compensation had likely been agreed upon.

She walked forward and sat back in her original spot. Marvin immediately stood up and approached her. He wore a smile, nervously rubbing his hands together as he cautiously asked, “Dr. Smith, when do you think you can come over?”

His nervousness was clear, and his urgency was evident. He was clearly eager for Suzanne to follow him now.

Suzanne took a small sip from her teacup before calmly replying, “There’s no rush.”

Marvin paused in his movements, feeling even more anxious. His son’s condition had tormented their family for so long. Even his son and daughter-in-law’s marriage had suffered because of it. How could he not be in a rush?

Suzanne looked up at him and gently reassured him, “Being anxious won’t help. I still need to prepare a few things first.”

Marvin’s impatience subsided slightly upon hearing her words. He looked at Suzanne and cautiously asked, “Then, when exactly?”

Before he could finish, Suzanne interrupted him, “Three days from now.”

She stood up, glancing at Marvin again. “I’ll have Shane contact you. Please be patient.”

Suzanne understood his urgency, but this wasn’t something that could be rushed. They had to make proper preparations and take it step by step.

Shane also stood up and walked over, patting Marvin’s shoulder with a smile. “Mr. Guerra, don’t be anxious! These things take time. If Jane says it can be cured, then it definitely will be!”

Shane’s confidence helped calm Marvin’s anxiety a little.

Shane nodded, then lowered his head slightly to Suzanne and sincerely said, “I’ll have to trouble you, Dr. Smith.”

As long as his son’s condition could be cured, waiting three more days would be nothing. After all, they had already waited this long.

Shane placed the cigarette Marvin had given him behind his ear, smiling as he replied, “It’s no trouble at all.”

He waved at Marvin and then turned toward the door. He glanced at Suzanne and said, “Let’s leave first!”

Suzanne nodded slightly, and the two of them left the private room.

Marvin quickly chased after them. “Dr. Smith, Mr. Doyle, take care.”

Many people in the hotel’s lobby turned their heads to look, puzzled about what the young woman’s status was that Marvin treated her with such respect.
