That bitch! Even if Suzanne weren’t Jane, Seline still wanted to kill her!
Her hands trembled with rage. Sixteen million dollars—gone just like that. If her parents found out, she’d be scolded to no end!
Meanwhile, Isla, completely oblivious to Seline’s inner turmoil, approached her with an excited smile.
“Ms. Yates, please proceed with the payment. Also, let us know if you’d like to look at other items.”
Seline felt like she was about to explode. But with so many eyes on her, she had no choice but to grit her teeth and make the payment.
When the transaction went through, it felt like her heart was bleeding.
Isla, however, remained beaming as she brought out several other exquisite emerald pieces. “These are some of our finest. Please take a look and choose a few.”
Seline glanced at the jewelry with cold disinterest. She wanted none of them. The more she looked, the more irritated she became.
Christine, on the other hand, was wide-eyed with admiration. “Wow, these are stunning! Only you, Seline, can casually buy so many beautiful emerald pieces.”
Her flattery only made Seline’s irritation worse. She wanted to strangle Christine!
If it weren’t for her, she wouldn’t have wasted so much money on this useless junk!
Still, she forced herself to act composed and simply muttered, “They’re okay.”
Christine’s admiration grew, completely unaware of Seline’s growing fury.
Meanwhile, Suzanne, in a fantastic mood, had already moved on to the next counter.
She could hardly believe her luck. She had searched tirelessly, and yet, she had found such high-quality gemstones right here!
Excited, she pointed at a few pieces and asked, “Could you bring these out for me?”
The sales associate complied, and Suzanne carefully examined the gemstones.
As she looked at them, a new thought crossed her mind—buying pre-made jewelry wasn’t as meaningful. What if she reworked some of these gems instead?
Her excitement soared.
After some time, she had picked out several top-tier gemstones.
The sales associate was thrilled. She had witnessed the intense bidding war earlier and had assumed Suzanne had no money. But she had been completely wrong!
Suzanne had a sharp eye for quality. The gems she had chosen were far more valuable than the emerald pieces Seline had been forced to buy.
With effortless grace, Suzanne swiped her card.
The sales associate carefully packaged the gemstones and handed them over respectfully. “Miss, here are your items.”
Suzanne accepted them with a nod, her mood soaring.

Humming a tune, Suzanne leaned back in the bathtub, relishing the warmth of the water.

Walking to the mirror, she gazed at her reflection. Her flushed skin glowed softly under the bathroom lights.
Pressing a finger against her cheek, she let out a chuckle and began applying her skincare.
Once finished, she realized something—her pajamas were still in the bedroom.
