Chapter 11
Annoyance flared in Suzanne’s chest as she yanked her arm, trying to break free from Jenson’s grasp.
Her tone was sharp and cold.
“Mr. Lambert, please let go of me.”
Just then, Seline, who had chased after Jenson, caught up to them. Her frustration boiled over as she stomped her foot.
“Jenson!”
But before she could say more, Jenson shot her a cold, warning glare.
The sheer intensity of it made her freeze, her breath hitching.
She didn’t dare utter another word.
Seline knew Jenson well enough to understand that pushing him now would only backfire. But seeing him holding Suzanne’s hand made her blood boil.
Her eyes burned with rage as she glared at Suzanne.
That bitch.
All she ever did was seduce Jenson. The fury simmering in Seline’s chest was unbearable, but there was nothing she could do about it.
Jenson turned back to Suzanne, softening his tone.
“Suzanne, just give me ten minutes. That’s all I ask. I just want to talk. Nothing else.”
Despite his calm words, his grip remained firm, showing no intention of letting go.
Suzanne’s irritation spiked.
Still unable to free herself, her voice dropped even colder.
“Mr. Lambert, we’re done. Since you’re already with Seline, I suggest you stay faithful to her and stop cheating.”
Jenson’s brows furrowed slightly, displeasure flashing across his face. He masked it quickly, keeping his voice gentle.
“Suzanne, there’s nothing between me and Seline.”
Seline froze.
That’s not what he said when they were sleeping together.
Her hands clenched into fists, her eyes blazing with fury.
This was all Suzanne’s fault.
Even after breaking up with Jenson, she still found ways to steal his attention.
Shane had had enough.
He stepped forward and shoved Jenson’s hand away—hard enough to make him stumble slightly. His voice was ice-cold.
“What kind of grown man grabs a woman in public like this? Have some decency.”
Jenson steadied himself, his eyes narrowing as he shot Shane a frosty glare.
But before he could respond, Shane casually adjusted his sleeves, completely unbothered.
“So, what is it you want to talk about?” Shane asked. “That your cheating wasn’t real? Or that you’re hoping to get back together with her?”
Suzanne’s lips twitched into a faint smirk.
Shane really was her best ally.
Jenson inhaled sharply, keeping his composure.
“Shane, this is between me and Suzanne. Out of respect for her, I won’t stoop to your level.”
Shane scoffed.
“Oh? Really? Go ahead, then. Let’s see how low you can stoop.” His lips curled in disdain. “Do you think the whole world revolves around you? Who do you think you are?”
Shane’s mouth ran like a firecracker, tearing into Jenson without hesitation.
If they weren’t in public, he would’ve already knocked him flat on the ground.
Seriously. He’d seen shameless people before—but never anyone with skin this thick.
Jenson’s composure finally cracked.
Though his sunglasses and mask hid his expression, the tension was palpable as he gritted his teeth.
“Shane.” His voice was low and threatening. “This is your last warning. Stay out of my business with Suzanne.”
Shane, with his fiery temper, snapped instantly.
He rolled up his sleeves and stepped protectively in front of Suzanne, hands on his hips.
“Oh, really? Well, guess what? I am involved. And what are you gonna do about it?”
He took another step forward, his stance bold.
“Come on, I’d love to see what you think you can do.”
Jenson’s temples throbbed, the vein on his forehead looking ready to burst.
Just as he opened his mouth to retort—
Suzanne stepped forward, cutting through their argument with a sharp, commanding voice.
“Enough!”
Her icy gaze locked onto Jenson.
“Jenson, if you don’t want your precious voice as an award-winning actor to be ruined, then stop bothering me.”
Jenson’s breath hitched.
Did she just… threaten me?
He couldn’t believe it.
Suzanne was above threats.
Yet here she stood, cold and unyielding.
For the first time, he couldn’t read her.
In the past, he always knew how to manipulate her emotions. One sweet lie, one desperate plea—
And she’d bend.
But now… he wasn’t so sure.
Maybe…
Maybe she really didn’t love him anymore.
His jaw clenched.
Suzanne’s warning lingered in the air, heavy and sharp.
She wasn’t bluffing.
She could expose him.
And with how many people were already glancing in their direction—curious eyes picking up their every move—Jenson suddenly didn’t want to test her.
Suzanne scoffed, her voice dripping with finality.
“We’re done here.”
And without another word, she turned and walked away.
Shane shot Jenson a smug look before following after her.
Meanwhile, Seline was seething.
Watching Suzanne walk away victorious made her skin crawl.
Her nails dug into Jenson’s arm as she clung to him, her voice laced with frustration.
“Jenson, how could she be so heartless?”
But Jenson didn’t respond.
His eyes were still locked on Suzanne’s retreating figure.
Seline’s heart sank.
She could barely breathe.
She had worked so hard to make Jenson hers.
She even faked a police complaint to keep Suzanne away.
And yet here he was—looking like he was about to chase after her again.
Tears welled in her eyes, and she choked back a sob.
But Jenson still didn’t react.
His phone buzzed in his pocket.
Seline bit her lip, her frustration mounting.
Whoever was calling had the worst timing—
Jenson ignored her completely.
Pulling out his phone, his expression shifted the moment he saw the number.
A flicker of hesitation crossed his eyes.
Why…
Why were they calling now?
