Chapter 89 – Keep Going, I’m Not Satisfied Yet
It wasn’t the first time Caroline had kissed David. But this time felt different, almost like a transaction.
As David rested his hand on the steering wheel, preparing to start the car, Caroline made a sudden decision. She leaned over, cupping his face with both hands, and pressed her lips firmly against his.
Whatever. I’ll just do it first and think later, she thought. Besides, it’s not like he hasn’t forcefully kissed me before. So what if I’m the one taking the initiative this time? Thinking about that bonus… I can endure this.
Her eyes remained shut, not daring to look at him. Her breathing was uneven, and she felt clumsy, inexperienced. I’m not good at this, she acknowledged. But I’ll learn. I can do this.
David’s gaze darkened, and he leaned back into the seat, letting her take the lead for once.
To his surprise… she was terrible at it.
After a while, Caroline finally pulled back slightly, her heart racing as she cautiously opened her eyes. “So… is that enough?”
David’s expression was unreadable as he stared at her. “That’s it?”
“What?” Her face fell. “It’s not enough?”
David leaned back lazily, folding his hands behind his head. “What do you think?”
Caroline flushed bright red. “I think it was more than enough.”
David chuckled lightly. “Don’t you remember how I used to kiss you?” His voice was calm, almost detached. “I can give you a free lesson if you’d like.”
Lesson? Caroline thought bitterly. It’s just another excuse to take advantage of me.
She forced a smile. “That’s all I know. I don’t have any experience. I’ve never kissed another man.”
“Really?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Of course. My first kiss was given to you.”
Caroline’s mind briefly flashed back to their wedding night. Though her innocence had been taken, she clearly remembered that Nash had never kissed her, not even once.
David’s mood visibly brightened at her response. “Well, then,” he said with a smirk, “keep learning. But I’m not satisfied yet. As for your bonus…”
Caroline clenched her jaw. Fine. He wants passion? I’ll give it to him.
With a determined look, she threw herself at him again. Their lips collided with such force that her teeth knocked against his.
For a moment, she felt like a rogue woman, her actions reckless and out of control.
Then, to her shock, she bit him—hard. It was a deliberate, merciless bite.
To her surprise, David seemed to enjoy it.
What a pervert.
She tried to pull away, convinced she had given him enough. But before she could even move, David lost all restraint. He grabbed the back of her head, pulling her toward him with an intensity that shocked her. He kissed her fiercely, pressing her into the steering wheel as he deepened the kiss.
Compared to her tentative attempts, this was dominance—raw, unapologetic dominance.
How is David so good at this?
Caroline’s lips started to feel sore, her breath shallow, but David didn’t pull back. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he broke the kiss just enough to speak.
“Don’t know how to breathe while kissing?”
“I…” She couldn’t form another word before he leaned in again, capturing her lips once more.
Caroline was speechless. This bonus is too hard to earn. Why does it have to come at the expense of my dignity?
Why is David acting like he can never get enough? she thought bitterly. If he has needs, he should go find Elizabeth. She’d be more than willing to indulge him in every way possible. So why is he fixated on me?
The quiet, midnight streets outside and the half-open car window added to the surreal atmosphere. The couple was locked in a passionate kiss, looking like something straight out of a romance drama.
Finally, David pulled back, his breathing uneven. Caroline quickly settled back into her seat, instinctively wiping her lips with the back of her hand.
David’s voice was low but commanding. “Try wiping them and see what happens.”
