- After I lost my memory, I no longer
- loved him.
- Chapter 1
- I’d been married to Mark for three years, and
- he’d refused my touch the entire time.
- Once, when I accidentally brushed his hand
- while closing the car door, he claimed I had a
- virus and made me wash my hands thirty-
- eight times under his watchful eye.
- Another time, I was stranded on a mountain
- road. When Mark arrived to rescue me, I
- hugged him in relief.
- He instinctively pushed me off the cliff. I
- broke my leg.
- Every time he stammered an apology, I
- thought he just had obsessive–compulsive
- disorder and severe germophobia.
- But then, I found out he’d been secretly
- drugging me and sending me to his friends‘
- bedde

- His buddies chuckled, teasing him:
- “Mark, come on, Wendy’s your wife. You
- don’t even get jealous she’s been with other
- guys?”
- “We all know you’re crazy about her best
- friend, but you don’t have to be a monk to
- get her, do you? Not even touching your own
- wife?”
- Mark was smoking, nonchalantly replying: “Holly only likes clean guys. I’m saving her
- first kiss and first time for her. As for Wendy,
- marrying her was the best way for me to get
- close to Holly.
- “Keeping her satisfied keeps her from
- bothering me.
- “”
- It turned out the man who’d proposed three
- times before marrying me was actually in love
- with my best friend, Holly.
- Calmly, I contacted a lawyer for a divorce. But
- then, I was in a car accident and lost my
- く
- memory.
- Everyone remembered him, except me.
- Later, he saw me kissing my new boyfriend.
- His eyes turned bloodshot, and he went crazy,
- hugging me fiercely.
- “Wendy, you loved me so much, how could
- you forget me?”
- “Mark, you’re a real bro! Not only did you.
- share your wife with us, you even gave up
- your house. Awesome!”
- “But are you sure the drug dosage was
- enough? Wendy won’t wake up halfway
- through, right? If she finds out it was us,
- we’re screwed.”
- His friends triple–checked.
- Mark scoffed.
- “It’s happened several times, and you guys
- still act like rookies?”
- He glared coldly at my unconscious form.
- “I saw her drink every drop of that juice. She
- <
- won’t wake up until morning.”
- “Consider it me tonight, feed her well, so she
- won’t bother me anymore.”
- Then Mark left.
- 99
- He took a call, his voice gentle and full of
- affection.
- “Holly, congratulations on winning first prize!
- Wendy’s not feeling well and fell asleep. I’ll
- deliver your gift.
- 99
- The door slammed shut.
- I felt a bone–chilling cold, a despair I’d never
- known.
- Mark had married me not because he loved
- me, but to get closer to Holly.
- That afternoon, Holly excitedly told me she
- won first prize.
- She asked me to celebrate with her that
- night.
- Mark said nothing, as usual, handing me a
- glass of juice, claiming it was packed with
- vitamins and insisting I drink it all.
- He even watched me drink every drop.
- But my stomach was upset that day, and I
- threw it all up soon after.
- He had already slipped something into that
- juice!
- He even used me to approach Holly.
- I was still unconscious, my head fuzzy,
- hearing their lewd laughter and footsteps
- approaching.
- Someone tried to touch me.
- “Get out! All of you, get out!”
- Suddenly, someone roared. I recognized the
- voice–it was the quietest of Mark’s friends,
- Vince, with a dragon tattoo on his back. He
- was intimidating, and I usually feared him the
- most.
- But it was he who chased those men away.
- I held my breath, pretending to be asleep,
- wanting to see what he’d do next. I’d
- overheard Mark and his friends–was this not
- the first time this had happened?
- But I waited and waited.
- Vince kept smoking, doing nothing.
- Thinking he’d fallen asleep, I opened my eyes,
- only to meet his gaze.
- Vince smirked. “You’re awake.”
- “I knew you were faking.”
- My face turned pale. I was only wearing a
- camisole and instinctively pulled the covers
- up.
- Vince stood up, slowly approaching me. I
- slapped him.
- Vince just chuckled self–deprecatingly and
- threw his jacket over.
- “Don’t worry, I won’t do anything to you.”
- “Mark’s actions were outrageous. Every time
- he gave you to us, I chased them away.”
- “I feared they wouldn’t give up, so I stayed
- with you until dawn, and… I never touched
- く
- you.”
- A weight lifted from my chest.
