- “Are you okay, little lady?” An elderly voice suddenly came from nearby,
- Amanda turned her head and saw an old man, probably in his seventies, wearing plain clothes but still looking sharp. He was staring at her with concern.
- She glanced at the ground and shook her head. “I’m fine, just disappointed my five–star hotel experience was cut short. It isn’t even time to check out yet.”
- Her tone was filled with frustration, and her face was a picture of regret.
- Anton Lane was taken aback, thinking, ‘Is that really the most important thing now?”
- “Who are you talking to?” The human trafficker by the door suddenly entered the room, eyeing Amanda suspiciously and scanning the room warily.
- Amanda answered, “I’m talking to a ghost.”
- Hearing that, the guy instantly flared up. “You dare mess with me?”
- He started moving towards Amanda, ready to hit her.
- But just then, another trafficker shot him a look and snapped, “If you hurt her, we’ll get a lower price for her. You really want to lose that money?”
- The first man immediately calmed down, turning to the second trafficker with a smug grin. “Rico, it’s my bad. I got a little too worked up. By the way, where’d you find this gem? She looks like a real catch.”
- He ogled Amanda, his eyes lingering over her. He thought, ‘She’s a bit skinny, but damn, she’s got the perfect face,
- Rico shot his man a look of annoyance and said, “I didn’t find her. Someone paid me to take her and sell her as far away as possible.”

- He thought to himself. He gets double pay. Why am I never lucky enough for this kind of opportunity?‘
- Amanda simply watched them with a calm face.
- Rico gestured to the door and said, “Let’s go. Check if the buyer’s here yet. We’ve got a job to finish, then we can get paid.”

- The two of them walked out with laughs, leaving the filthy room silent again.

- During the ride, Amanda had several chances to cry for help or escape, but she didn’t even care about it. She fell deep asleep in the car. Anton tried everything to get her attention, but she didn’t budge.
- Eventually, the car stopped, and Anton’s hopes of her running away died completely.
- As Anton expected, they were deep in the mountain area. Though it was still within Silvermoor, it was hours away, surrounded by mountains. There was no way Amanda could get out of here.
- While Anton was resigning himself to the situation. Amanda seemed more curious than ever, peeking out at the surroundings.

- As soon as Amanda got out of the car, villagers started gathering around. They ogled her like she was a prized possession.

- They started pushing and shoving, treating Amanda like an object to be fought over.
- Amanda smiled sweetly at them and said, “Don’t rush, everyone. I know you all want to be my family. You can all get a share. No need to fight over me.”
- Hearing Amanda’s words, everyone froze, their eyes wide. Even Selena was caught off guard. She stammered, “Did you just say they can share you together!” She thought she might’ve misheard.
- Amanda nodded seriously and replied, “Yeah. Since you all like me so much, it’d be improper to live with just one of you. Why don’t all of us live together? We’ll make a big happy family
- Anton thought to himself, “Yup, she definitely lost it. This girl’s gone mad.
- He was heartbroken seeing her like this, and he never thought she’d get this far gone.
- The villagers were also stunned.
- A man asked, “You really want that? Can you handle it?”
- Amanda nodded firmly and replied, “I can handle it, as long as you guys can.”
- In her mind, she mused as long as they paid, she could handle anything.
- The villagers, stunned into silence, whispered amongst themselves for a few minutes before finally agreeing. “Alright, then, Let’s make a big family together.”
- To them, each family would have to pay less, but they’d all get a shot at her. It was more than perfect.
- Since both parties reached a consensus, Selena had nothing to argue about. Before leaving, Selena couldn’t help but glance at
- Amanda.
- Amanda suddenly grabbed Selena’s arm and said, “Hey, don’t just leave. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have found so many family members. Stay with us and have dinner. I owe you one.”
- The villagers joined in, urging Selena to stay. After thinking it over and realizing she was hungry, Selena agreed. She figured with so many people around, Amanda couldn’t pull off any tricks.
- They watched Amanda picking up stones off the ground and tossing them here and there, completely regarding her as a fool.
- Anton, however, kept nagging. “Little lady, pick up that grass and sneak it into their food. It’s a drug that’ll make them pass out. Once they’re out, you can run as far as you can.”

- But the next moment, Amanda suddenly pointed at the plant and shouted, “Hey, everyone, that’s Datura, a powerful knockout drop. You should not eat it by mistake.”

- The villagers just laughed, their expressions softening. They lived there all their lives, so they knew exactly what the plant was, and they had planted it themselves. They even used it to test Amanda. Now they were sure that Amanda truly wanted to stay. “Good girl,” one of the older women said to Amanda while pulling Amanda’s hand and offering her a peach.
