Chapter 157 An Extraordinary Night
Upon returning to the office, Olivia immediately convened a meeting to discuss the matter of system upgrades.
The sole purpose of the meeting was to successfully and flawlessly complete the collaboration with Carter Group.
Nathan had also returned to the office. As soon as he stepped out of the elevator, Ethan immediately greeted him and said, “Mr. Carter, Ms. Patel is waiting for you in the reception room.”
Nathan furrowed his brows. What is Emma up to now?
Perceiving his thoughts, Ethan leaned in close to his ear and whispered, “She said she has something very important to tell you.”
“Something very important?” A hint of mockery played at the corners of Nathan’s mouth.
He didn’t believe that Emma had anything of importance to discuss, but he still made his way to the reception room.
Emma had been waiting for almost an hour. Gradually, her patience began to wear thin, yet she didn’t want to give up.
She had to meet Nathan today.
At that moment, the reception room door swung open.
The person she had been waiting for finally appeared. When she saw that familiar tall figure, her face -instantly lit up with joy.
“Nate.”
Emma quickly rose to her feet, her heart racing as she watched him slowly approach her.
However, Nathan didn’t even spare her a glance. He simply strode past her and settled himself on the couch on the other side.
The smile on her face froze for a few seconds, but she quickly regained her composure. She turned around, her eyes crinkling in mirth as she said, “Nate, I’ve been waiting for you for quite a while.”
“No one asked you to wait.” Nathan casually lifted his eyelids, his gaze devoid of warmth as he looked at her.
Emma’s expression subtly shifted, yet she managed to keep her smile. “Is that so?”
Nathan couldn’t be bothered with small talk. He asked her straightforwardly, “Is there something you need?”
“Well, the hot spring resort that Patel Group and Carter Group jointly developed a couple of years ago is now complete. I’m here to ask if you’d like to participate in the grand opening ceremony.”
Nathan frowned. Hot spring resort?
“My dad hasn’t been feeling well lately, and he’s due for a business trip abroad soon, so he handed this
matter over to me.”

Finally, Nathan remembered that there was indeed such a thing.

By then, she reckoned she could spend an extraordinary night with Nathan.
The hot spring resort was not only home to a hot spring, but it was also surrounded by tourist attractions. The hotel operated on a high–end VIP system, offering a wide array of entertainment and leisure facilities.
She glanced at Nathan shyly, recognizing this as a perfect opportunity for their relationship to progress.
If they could have a passionate night, it would be more than perfect.
The more Emma thought about it, the happier she became, and her smile nearly reached her ears.
“Nate, I’ll head back first to get things ready.”
In order for them to have a wonderful night, she had to prepare thoroughly.
Nathan didn’t notice Emma’s departure. At that moment, he was contemplating if he could take Liam with him. He would probably be thrilled.
