Ellie arrived at the bedroom door, and somehow Alex had already sneaked up behind her, closing the door before she could.
Alex, barefoot, took off his shirt right in front of Ellie. Ellie casually watched Alex’s strong upper body.

Ellie said. “Because Haley misunderstood our relationship as being inappropriate, she bullied me in the streets of Ameria.

“Ellie!” Alex exclaimed softly as he stepped towards her with restraint.
Ellie stepped back, not allowing him to come closer.
With tears filling her eyes and a slight smile on her lips, she said, Even though I’m very poor, and Aaron and 1 owe the Warren family a lot, I’ve lived with you for more than a decade, filling you Alex for over ten years.
“How could you? Just for the woman you love, you completely ignore my dignity? You don’t care how hurt I am, yet you force me to clear her name. You even threaten me with Aaron?”
Silent tears rolled down from Ellie’s eyes, and after her sharp words, her voice became calm.

She let out a mocking chuckle and said, “Don’t let my tears dirty the name of your beloved woman on your ring finger!”
Alex’s hand froze as he was wiping Ellie’s tears. Then he looked at the tattoo on his left ring finger.
